Pinterest #37 Maxi Skirt with Ruffles on Bottom

Picture of link

The one I made isn't nearly as cute as this one (pictures to come). As a matter of fact my husband doesn't like it and says its "cheesy"  hahaha!!
But for a lounge around the house skirt it works. Might try again making the skirt fuller and the ruffle not so rufflely.

Pinterest #36 Stain Remover

I had a wonderful "fail" moment with this one. There are a couple of posts of this recipe floating around out there. Basically it is just hydrogen peroxide and dish soap but I found one that added baking soda to the mix. DON'T DO IT!!
All that did was build up pressure in the bottle and make it explode. What a fun time we had with that!
Once we cleaned up that mess I tried it again. Leaving the baking soda out. It works very well. There are some stains that need to be treated multiple times but I have noticed it gets the out a lot faster and better then any stain treatment I have bought before.
This will now be a staple in our house.

Pinterest #35 Your Sparkler

I LOVE this saying!  I thought it would be great for the girls to see on a daily basis. So I made my own version out of vinyl for their bathroom. (Picture to come)
Just a wonderful piece of uplifting inspiration for yourself!

Getting healthy week 22

Weight: down 9 pounds
Exercise: yeah right!
Calorie count: higher and higher

Can you tell I have fallen of the wagon yet?  I keep trying to get going again but it's just not happening.
I am mad that I am seeing numbers again that I never wanted to see again. Today I was going to get up before the kids and get going. Yup. Sitting on my fat but in front of tv and its already 8:30am. Not moving.
I will get there. I will get back on track. I hope.

Pinterest #34 Home made Body Butter

This turns out wonderfully. But very oily. It takes a while to absorb but leaves you feeling moisturized.
Pic of pin.
Also keeps skin soft and shinny. So if you want to show off those freshly shaved legs its perfect.  I think I will play with the recipe to see if I can get it less oily.
All in all a keeper.

Pinterest #33 maxi dress

I am very pleased with how this turned out. Don't you agree?!
So I went to Walmart and bought a $3.00 tank top and a $5.00 sheet. Now if I had done this right the first time it would have only taken me a couple of hours to do. But since I decided to sew the top and skirt together the wrong way so the top was inside out, I had to take an extra day to make the sash.
So be more patient then I am and double check before you sew.

Pinterest #32 Banana Oatmeal Pancakes

OMG! I thought these where the bees knees! Hehe!  My family, not so much. Mostly because they were disappointed they weren't chocolate chip pancakes. :)
Very filling because of the oatmeal so two made the perfect serving size.
I will be making these again. Even if it is only for me.

Pinterest #31 Skinny Chicken and Brocolli Alfredo

This was a tasty treat. I still don't care for Greek yogurt. Still looking for a brand that won't taste "gritty" to me. That was my only problem with this recipe. Even when the yogurt was all cooked in it still tasted "gritty"
But all in all a nice change for diet food.

Pinterest #30 Skillet Lasagna

So pleased to find a great tasting easy lasagna that is low in calories and not completely vegetarian. Now my version turned out to have a little more calories per serving but still decent in calorie count.
My Jaycie loved it so much she ate 3 servings!  Always a plus when the kids eat it!

Pinterest #29 Muffin Tin German Pancake

These turned out great. A couple that didn't "bowl" shape but still tasted great.
It was nice having a German pancake that you didn't have to tear apart. Your own perfect serving size was a plus.

Pinterest #28 Garlic Brown Sugar Chicken

Yum. Yum. Yum.
I have already made these twice. So good and so easy. The kids even liked it, which why wouldn't they. A slightly sweet chicken. Of course kid friendly.
My favorite part is that they are very low in calories and not your traditional spiced chicken to stay healthy. And no complicated ingredients to buy.
Greatly recommend them.

Pinterest #27 make your own curiously strong mints

This is an interesting project. Very simple just very time consuming. I think I need to do it again when I have more time. Maybe.
It was nice to make my own flavor and know I am not adding any strange chemicals to them. But the gum paste is hard to work with. Well, just a little. And trying to make them a uniformed size was difficult for me. Mainly because I didn't have the time or patience for them.
These get better as time goes by to make them more like a mint.
For the most part I think it is worth buying them pre made. But if you want to try them by all means this is a great one to try.

Pinterest #26 Ruffle Bottom Onsie

Can you say "so damn cute!"  I just loved these and so easy to make!  Now my little one can run around this summer in a cute one of a kind Onsie.
Pics to follow.

Pinterest #25 galaxy play dough

This one was so quick and easy. And it turned out so beautiful. I found the black food coloring at Walmart in the baking section. I was a little worried that it wasn't big enough because of the instructions and picture in the original post. But it turned out perfect. Only down fall is that the glitter gets everywhere. So if you let the kids play with it be prepared for glitter mess remnants.
The kids love it!  Will be doing it again.

Getting healthy week 18

Weight: down 12 pounds
Exercise : 30 minutes 5 times a week
Calorie count: at least 6 days a week under my allotted calories.

Recently we took a family vacation where all we did was eat out all our meals. I thought for sure I was going to come home and have to start over again. Luckily I only set myself back 3 pounds!  Wow!  I was shocked!  And a little proud that I didn't completely blow it.
I am averaging a little less then 1 pound a week now but at least I can say I am keeping it off.
I made it through Shaun T's Dance Party for the month long fitness plan. I really liked it. I felt like I was getting a great workout and was having fun. But down point was that at least 3 to 4 times a week you were working out for an hour or more. That was hard to find time for. So I am switching back to Jillian Micheals ripped in 30 for the next 4 weeks. I like the fact that hers are 30 minutes. So much easier to find time for. And I feel that I get more toned with her workouts.
Now if I can just stay focused and not let the workout bore me. I am to picky.

Getting healthy...week 13

Weight: still only down 9 pounds. Slow but steady
Exercise: an average of 45 minutes a day 5 times a week. With at least 3 days a week of a 45 minute walk.
Calorie count: under my calorie goal an average of 6 days a week but still have it to high in bad food. Need to be stronger.

Fabulous news! I am 5 inches slimmer in my waist! This is what keeps me going. Down my first dress size!
A little scared though. Vacation is 2 weeks away and with only hovering at 10 pounds down I am afraid I will ruin all my hard work in one week.
I am going to need a lot of will power.

Pinterest #24 bird nest breakfast

These were a hit!!
They are very yummy! A bit time consuming but very good. And on the other plus side you can store them in the fridge for a while or freeze them. Pop them in the microwave for a minute and have a quick to go breakfast.
They are even more yummy with salsa and sour cream on top.
They each have 1 egg in them which is a little much. I need to see if I can cut it in half and that would be perfect.
I can tell they will be a regular in our house.

Pinterest #23 Oven "boiled" eggs

I don't think I will be doing this one again. Not that it didn't turn out. They were just fine. But for the same result I can stick with boiling them for the same time and not use as much energy in doing so. Plus baking them doesn't help with the peeling issues. I think the boiling method with adding baking soda to the water works better.
So go ahead and try it. It works just fine.

Pinterest #22 Tutu Easter Basket

Aren't the cute!! I made 4. One for each go my girls. They were relatively easy to do. And not all to long to do. I wish I could have made the tutu removable so the girls could play with them. But my baskets were quite big and square so I had to glue them on.
I think they will be happy with them. I know I am!

Pinterest #21 Bacon Egg and Cheese in a Crescent Roll Dough

This was decent. I wish I wasn't on a diet because I would have indulged a little more and had another portion.
The kids were not that excited. But they never are unless its covered in chocolate.
But I found this worthy of another go.

Pinterest #20 Easy Soft Buttery Crescent Rolls

I was nervous about trying these. Me and bread baking don't always get along.
I can proudly say that they were a success! And they lived up to their hype. The were yummy! My Kaylee, who hates crescent rolls loved them.
So here's hoping the next time it works out just as well!

Pinterest #19 ultimate chicken fingers

These were very good. The whole family just loved these. Again very easy to make, which for me is HUGE! We look forward to enjoying them again.
Oh and PS. The recipe is on the back of the bis quick box.

Pinterest #18 baked brown sugar garlic chicken

Oh my goodness!! This was crazy good!! And so simple to make!! This is going into my regular rotation. Can't wait to try it again!

Pinterest. #17 German pancakes in muffin tins

Can you say Yummy! Oh these were just heavenly! They turned out perfect ( considering my oven bit it after making these) I mixed up some frozen raspberries and added some powdered sugar or whipped cream on top and they were great!
Over all they were quick and easy. The perfect Sunday breakfast!

Pinterest #16 skillet lasagna weight watchers version

We had this one last night. Since my oven is dead I have to try to feed us only stove top dishes. I must say I liked this one very much! It had great flavor and the portions were filling! According to my calorie count though it was 348 calories and not the 275 or whatever they claimed it to be. But still very decent as far as calories go.
Note to self though, next time only use 1 can of tomatoes. 2 was a little overboard.

Pinterest #15 honey lime shrimp

Overall I was a little disappointed in this one. The flavor was excellent. Well what there was of the flavor. But the marinated turned out to watery to cook in and caramelize to the shrimp the was the recipe said it would.
But I liked the flavor enough to try to give it another go. Will follow up sometime later.

Pinterest #14 eclair cake

I was really excited about this one. I LOVE eclairs!!! So eclair cake would be heaven!! For the most part it was. But the "crust" turned out tough and to eggy tasting.
I need to try this one again. Maybe a different recipe for the crust next time.

Getting healthy...week 10

Weight loss: 8 lbs
Exercise: doing my DVD 5 times a week. And trying to get in a family walk nightly. So far only done this 3 times.
Diet: I have been under my calorie goal 6 out of 7 days. I usually loose it on my "off" day.

Last week was my last week of doing workout 2 of Julian Micheals 30 day shred. I am not going to do workout 3 yet. I ordered Shaun T rock your body. Dance workout DVDs. I am going to try that program for the next 4 weeks. I thought it might be a good one to see if I will like Zumba. Right now I am tossed up between getting the Zumba set or the Julian Micheals set. They both look great. But I need to see if I will like a Zumba type workout first.
I am running out of time to reach my goal. I have 4 weeks to loose 12 pounds. Time to workout more and eat less!

Pinterest...#13 Coconut hair treatment, #14 Julian Micheals detox, #15 yellow maxi skirt

A couple to talk about here.

#13 Coconut oil hair treatment
I just started this one. I have done my first application. I really like it. The pin says to apply to dry hair 3 to 4 times a week. Leave on for half an hour. Then wash as normal. It is suppose to help repair hair. Help it grow. And leave it shiny and smooth.
The hair growth got my attention. I did it the first time and with my thin hair I was worried it was going to be to greasy. Nope!! Yay! My hair was soft and shiny. I loved it! I am only going to do it 2 to 3 times a week though.
I will finish in a month. More to come on this one.

#14 Julian Micheals detox
I need help getting my body working on the weight loss stuff so I decided to put this one to the test. For the next 7 days I will drink the mixture.
More to come

#15 yellow maxi skirt
I absolutely love this one. I will post picture as soon as I take it. It was so simple and is so comfy. It is going to be a great summer lounge skirt. :)

Pinterest...follow up #12 ranch dressing

I got it just right!!!
So happy!!
I decreased the butter milk. I buy the powdered buttermilk. The instructions for it says 1 TBSP powder for 1 cup water. I decreased the water by half and the dressing turns out nice and creamy.
Going to keep this one on my list.

Pinterest...follow up to #9 canned lettuce

My second attempt at this wasn't a complete disaster but still didn't turn out as hoped.
The moisture built up in the jars because the lettuce wasn't dry when I canned it. I guess I need a device called a salad spinner. This is to dry the lettuce. Once I decide if I want to get one I will try again. Otherwise my larger Tupperware with a paper towel on top is keeping it fresh for about a week and a half. That is working out great so far. Only sad thing is that I can't buy my lettuce heads from Costco liked I wanted because I still don't go through them that fast.
Can't call this a failure. Just chalk it up to user error.

Pinterest: follow up on #4

I tried the "cream of anything" soup mix for a tuna casserole the other day. Epic fail!!
I followed the directions to make the equivalent of 1 can of soup. It didn't even come close to the right amount. Then as I cooked it all it did was turn into a "ball" in the pan.
I scraped that batch and made some more without cooking it. Not creamy. Not soupy. But had good flavor.
Needless to say my casserole was a giant fail as well. Way to dry. Nobody could eat it.
I still think this is a great idea. I need to play around some more with it and get it creamy.
To be continued...

Getting healthy...week 8

Weight loss: 6lbs
Exercise : 5 days of 30 minute workouts
Calorie goal: under calorie limit 6 days.

It is very slow going. I don't feel like I am loosing it fast enough. Which makes it very hard to stay motivated. So I decided I am going to try a detox drink that says you should loose up to 5 lbs in 7 days. We will see. It's a Pinterest thing to so I will go into more detail there.
I am going to try for 3 days a week doing a 1/2 hour walk/ jog on the tread mill on top of my regular workout. Here's hoping this will kick start my system into gear.
I am also thinking of ordering a dance workout set I saw on tv. See if it will help any.

Getting healthy...week 7

Weight loss: 5 pounds total
Exercise: did a total of 5 days and 2 days with a half hour of tread mill time.
Calorie count: I was under every day.

I am discouraged. I am really trying and all I am doing is maintaining. The only positive is that I am down 4 inches in my waist. I am hoping that the scale will start to reflect it too.

Pinterest #11 & #12

Pinterest #11
I am working on making my own mixes. I thought about it and it makes a lot of sense to me to do it. It will be nice to not have the extra additives and chemicals they add to stuff and make things a little more healthy. Here is what I am slowly working towards.

Pinterest #12
This goes with the last post. The ranch dressing is really good. My only complaint is that it makes to much to go through in a good amount of time and it is very runny. I need to tweak the recipe a little and it will be perfect.

Getting Healthy...Weeks 5 and 6

Week 6
Weight: lost 2 pounds. :(
Excersize: week 5 I did 5 workouts!! Yup I ROCKED that week. Week 6 only 4.
Calorie goal: really did good week 5. Week 6 was going well till the weekend. Then for two days everything went down hill quick.

So week 5 was the bomb!! I got the new video. Got the Juillian Micheals Shred. And I did it five times that week. I had dropped 6 whole pounds!! I felt so good
Week 6 was going well too until Thursday. I took that day off of workout just because. Then Friday woke up with a kinked neck so couldn't workout. Them that night Tom and I got rid of the kids so we went on a date. A wonderful dinner. Then breakfast the next morning. And lunch. And then dinner and drinks on Saturday night. Yup. Can you say double the allotted calories that day!
Then Sunday I was still sore so we decided to finish off the weekend with a bang and blew the diet off again.
So that is why I am only 2 pounds down starting this week.
Yup I can put it on!! Just wish I could take it off!!

Pinterest #10

Pinterest #10 = Long sleeve to bow sleeve t-shirt
As you can tell I used a very ugly shirt for this. Just in case I didn't like it or I made a great mistake. Good thing too because I did make a mistake. I didn't realize that when you cut off the sleeves that you don't do it at the seam. Cut them off just below the seam so you don't get the worlds most revealing tank top. Which is what I ended up with. Needless to say I won't be keeping this one. But all in all I liked how it turned out. I do plan on trying it again. Post is now in "things I tried on Pinterest and liked a lot" board.

My Riley is 1!!!

It's official.  I no longer have a baby in my home.  I have a toddler.  And she is now 1!!!
I have no idea where the last year has gone.  It just flew by!  As evident from my last of posting last year.
But since I this is my last first birthday for any of my kids I went a little crazy with the decorations and the cake.
Here is the cake!!
Isn't is so cute!!  I had to have it ever since I saw a picture of it on Pinterest.  I found a neighbor who does her own baking company so hired her to make it for me.  I won't lie it was quite pricey.  On a regular occasion I would never pay that much for a cake but I justified it by this being the last 1st birthday.
since that worked all out I found decorations that matched!  Bonus!!  So essentially her whole party was themed by the cake.
It all turned out so cute!
She wasn't to excited about things.  After all, she just played with paper and stuff not to long ago at Christmas.  But I think she had fun.
She wouldn't eat her cake on her own.  Grandma and Grandpa Simmons took turns feeding her cake and ice cream.  That was all she was going to do.
My little bug.  I love you so much!

Pinterest #8 and #9

Pinterest #8 = Lazy cake cookies
These I had planned on trying for a while now but after I saw the size of Riley's birthday cake I panicked and didn't think I had enough to go around.  I also knew I didn't have enough time to make a whole cake.
Lazy Cake Cookies to the rescue!  And here was hoping they weren't terrible.
They were quick and easy to make!  Only took about 30 minutes max from start to serve.  That was a bonus for me.  I need to practice spreading the dough in the pan.  I couldn't quite get it to stay put so I could get it even, but it turned out that didn't really matter.
These were very good.  They are even better the next day!  That makes them very dangerous because we all  polished them off the very next day.  I have to admit that was about the whole batch too.
We made ours with mini chocolate chips.  I would love to try with M&M's and Receices Pieces would be heavenly.
Highly recommend.  Post is now located in "foods I will definitely make again" board.

Pinterest #9 = Canned Lettuce
So I tried this one once that I didn't post.  I was waiting to see how long it would really last and if we liked it.
Well, my first batch I mixed my lettuce with a bunch of salad greens thinking it would be a great way to have them all mixed together and yummy salads ready.  That turned out to only be good in theory.  Total FAIL!
The salad greens went bad the very next day and I spent a lot of time picking them out of the lettuce that was completely fine.  But the longer they stayed mixed the faster the lettuce also went bad.
Lesson learned.  Don't mix salad greens in with the lettuce.
So this is take 2.  Only lettuce this time.  I am anticipating that it will turn out fine.  I am not sure how long it will stay fresh for.  The post I got it from said 2 weeks in the fridge without turning brown.  I just finished them today so I will do a follow up in two weeks.

Getting Healthy...Week 4

Weight loss: NONE!  Yup and to top it all off I am back at square 1!  The weight I had lost the couple of weeks before is back!  I guess I make this my official starting over point.
Exercise: I made it only 3 times.  And that was like pulling teeth within itself. So I did the 2nd week workout for 2 weeks in a row and only really did it a total of 5 times.  WooHoo!
Calorie goals:  Yeah right.  I finally got to a point last week that the only thing I tracked was my weight and didn't worry about anything else.

Tom and I had a big discussion on how we feel about ourselves in this state.  Bottom line. We don't.  So together we decided to support each other and try to get what we were achieving last time back.  So I got a new video.  Julian Micheal's 30 day shred.
I like her videos and workouts but like I told Tom.  I have a hard time getting excited for something I really don't care to watch over and over again and feel like it is worth my time.  But I know her workouts work and they are only 30 minutes which, lets face it, that is all the time I have to do anything.
We talked about the food we want to eat and planned the next week of dinners.  So here we go again.
Here is hoping it lasts.  I hope I have the resolve to keep it up.  I would like to be 20 pounds lighter by the end of April.  2 1/2 months from now.
Wish me luck!

Week 3...Getting Healthy

Week 3..Blew it!!
Weight loss: 3 pounds.  Yup. Gained back some weight this week.
Exercise: 2 times.  Only twice last week.  I am on a roll!!
Calorie goals:  I was under only twice.  2 days I didn't even keep track and knew I blew it out of the water on both those days.

Basically this week was just shot all to hell.  We had Riley's 1st birthday party (post to follow) with cake and ice cream and soda now in the house.  Yeah, I am screwed!  So there is some of the food stuff.  The rest is just pure scheduling and laziness.
the exercise was just no time was good time to work out.  In all honesty, it wasn't on the top of my "to do" list.
I hope so nice weather will come by and help blow some of this gloom and doom out of the way.  You know the feeling where all you want to do it cuddle up and eat warm junk food.  That is the feeling I have lately.  Come on spring and get me out of this funk!!

Pinterest #7

This one I kept in my jewelry folder because I didn't make the exact ones. I made a variation of them crediting the inspiration for the to this post.
I think they turned out rather pretty for such a simple design.

Pintrest 5 and 6

Pintrest #5 Pillsbury grand biscuits doughnuts

I know, I know, I am suppose to be eating healthy and I am trying but these were in the house and looked so good.  If I didn't just get them made I would just buy more and make twice as many!
Oh but they were so worth it!  They were quick and easy and so tasty!  The only thing I did they didn't say to do was after they dripped the oil off I dipped them in some melted butter so the cinnamon sugar would stick.  The next time I carve a doughnut I think I will go this route.  Cheaper then buying a dozen of them and not as many to linger around the house.  Plus hot and fresh are a plus!  Strongly recommend!!

Pintrest #6 Quilted Bibs

Look!  Look!  I did it!!  Ok so I am a little excited.  I think they turned out so cute!!  My only problem is that I tried to make the pattern bigger.  I succeeded in this.  But unfortunately the neck hole is to big and she can lift it right off her head.  Well, she is a year I am sure she will grow into it.  They are quick and easy and allow me to experiment with some decorative stitches too.  The ladies tutorial is very easy to follow and very well written.  I am very happy with them and will have 12 as soon as I am finished with the last 3.  Start to finish without interruptions they take about 30 to 45 minutes to complete.  Good beginner project too!

Week Two..Getting Healthy

Week Two
Weight Loss: 4 pounds gone. YAY!
Exercise: 4 times of week one Julian Michael's ripped in 30
Diet:  Made 3 low calorie dinners and was under my calorie goal 5 times.

Slowly getting there.  Very slowly, but still making progress.  I was at one point 6 pounds down but blew it with a dinner date with the hubby. :)  It was worth it!!
I keep trying to find the time to work out, which I guess I am doing an ok job at.  I find it funny when my little Riley thinks its great mom is on the floor and will come over and give me hugs and kisses while I am trying to do crunches or such.  Love that little girl!  Now we have a whole new challenge as she walks around me and between my legs and such as I try to get the routine done.  Overall probably not doing as well as I should with my workouts but at least I am getting something done.
This week starts two weeks of workout 2.  I did it today and now remember why I wore myself out on workout 1.  I don't like it that much.  It is defiantly harder but 2 minutes shorter!!  To quote Dory from Finding Nemo "just keep swimming!"
Other slightly sad point.  I am now at the starting weight I was the last time I did this.  Need to find a way to make sure once I loose it all to keep it off!

Week One getting healthy

Overview.
I am down 1 pound!  I officially have a pebble in my "Lost" jar on the counter!  :)
I did my workout 4 times last week.
Watched what we ate and got under my calorie goal twice. (One day I blew this one all to heck!  Didn't know I could eat so many calories in one day!)
So I guess, all in all, not to bad for the first week.  I just wish the pounds were as easy to take off as they are to put on!!
My biggest hiccup right now is the exercise.  I just don't want to do it!!  it's no that I hate the video or that it is to hard.  The best way to describe it is that it is like a movie you watch and you thought "okay that was decent."  But you don't want to watch it over and over and over again.  That is how I feel.  I have watched it over and over and over again.  I am done watching!  I do plug in my music in the back ground to help drown out the boredom of the workout music but I still have to pull my own teeth to get myself up and working out.  I am trying for at least 5 times a week.  Counting today I am at none!! Yay me!!  I need to find a way to suck it up and do it!  Ideas???
I am kind of struggling with the food too.  At least the being hungry at the wrong times part.  Which explains the binge night.  I know that is a work in progress too.  Not so upset about it as I am the exercise.
Oh well...

Happy Birthday Tom!!

Today is my Tom's birthday!!  The big 38!!  We aren't doing much as far as birthday celebrations are involved.  We are hoping that we can do a weekend in Mesquite in February or March instead of doing big things for birthdays this year.  So we are going to do what we know he likes.  Have Stroganoff for dinner.  Probably some brownies for dessert and a couple simple gifts.
I am so blessed to have him in my life.  I can't picture what it would be like without him.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

My year of Pintrest!! 1 through 4

Today is the 9th of January 2013 and I am 4 projects done this year.  Yay me!!
Granted they are very easy projects but still done all the same!
The first one I have done are the vinyl labeled canisters.  Can I just say "LOVE THEM!"
Of course I designed the vinyl so it's not exactly like the ones I pinned but they still look lovely to me!  The only tricky part was the very thin parts of the vinyl but other then that they were simple.  And I love the way they look.
Second.  Since I was playing with vinyl anyway and I need some help motivating me I took off my "inspiration" board weight loss jars.  They now reside on my counter with the pebbles in the "to loose" jar.  The only thing I don't like is the pebbles them self need to be bigger.  Believe it or not there are almost 50 pebbles in there.  Doesn't look like it does it.  Doesn't help motivate me much because it looks empty to start with. :)  So I think I am going to look for something bigger.  I do like how they turned out though.
FOOD!!
I took the advice from a pin and took all my candy canes and mints that we collected over the holidays and mushed them up in the mixed and came up with this!!  I am excited to put it over some ice cream or in some hot cocoa or on a something that needs a hint of mint.  I ended up with 3 pints of mint sprinkles.  I don't think I will be making more any time soon. :)
I just made some "cream of something" soup mix!  Very easy to make.  I am hoping they taste good.  I can't attest to that yet.  I am excited for it though.  I like the fact that they will be healthier for you then the regular soup. (kind of on this natural products, natural lifestyle kick.  Without the nudity for the natural lifestyle haha!)  I will let you know how it tastes.

I made a cream of veggie and a cream of chicken.  For the cream of veggie I could not find veggie bouillon so I used Mrs. Dash instead.  Here is hoping!!

Getting Healthy...kindof

Today was day 1 of "changing my life" project.  I have to say I am having the hardest time getting motivated to get going this time around.  The last time I tried, which was around August, I had no problem jumping in head first and being determined to get all the weight off and get healthy habits in place.  4 inches and 15 pounds later I was feeling on top of the world. Then for no apparent reason at all I quit.  I didn't want to follow the exercise any more.  I didn't want to eat right.  I just quit.  So here we are again.  All the hard work from last time is gone.  And I just don't want to start over.  I know I don't like the way I look or feel.  I need to get going for my own health and well being but the desire is just not there.  I feel like today I am just going through the motions.  Hopefully this will change as we get farther into the routine. (hoping)
I did do my workout today.  I am starting with the Jillian Micheal's Ripped in 30 video.  It is a great video.  I am just not wanting to hear it or look at it.  So I plugged in my music and turned to TV volume down and went to work.  I made it through the whole workout but of course had my interruptions as a baby who liked to climb on my when I had to do push ups or sit ups. :)  Or my daughter who liked to dance around me to the music.  And the occasional text and phone call.
I am also following my progress on My Fitness Pal.  I really do like this app.  It works quite well.  The only pain is plugging in all the recipes.  But once their in there you are done.  So far on a good track for the day as far as that goes.  So if you want to try that app look me up.  I would love the company. :)
I am also following up all this with lemon water which is suppose to be a natural detox for your body.  I am using lemon essential oil.  I really like it in the water.  Just make sure you stir it up before you drink each time. And taking some Doterra Slim and Sassy oil in capsule form to help with the appetite.
So that is my report for today.  Wish me luck through dinner and no dessert.  Although I have had a Lindor truffle. :)

Another year...hopefully more up to date posts!!

The worlds BEST blogger here!!  How many posts did I do last year?? 2??!!  Yup.  I ROCK!!!
So let me spill the same old dribble...I will be more active with my posts (ya right).  Well, at the very least lets see how long I can keep my word.
As part of my commitment I am adding 2 different "diary" postings on here.
The first one is my goal at loosing weight and getting healthy.  This is mostly for my benefit.  It will be a sounding board for my frustrations and victories.  I am hoping if I can go back and look at how things are progressing I will want to keep it up.  Especially since my last attempt lasted 3 months and I lost 15 pounds then went off for the holiday season and tada their back!  Also, some words of encouragement might not hurt either. :)
The second one is a Pintrest review.  I let myself get sucked into the world of Pintrest.  Tom thinks it is a blessing and a curse.  I have been "creating" allot of the items I find on there.  From food to crafts to gifts.  I have noticed at I create my masterpieces that there are notes that I would like to add if I ever decide to do it again.  I figured the best way for me to do that would to write a review of my adventure. That way I have a reference to go to and others might be able to find my advice helpful if they decide to try them as well.
There we have it.  More posts on family life, health diary, and Pintrest reviews.
Yup.  We will see! :)
